(Note: As the project was handed over in 2025, I am no longer responsible for its current visual updates or content management.)

This project was a commissioned internship for Metsäpirtti Seura ry, an association dedicated to preserving Karelian cultural heritage. Over a 20-week period, I was responsible for planning and deploying their entirely new web presence.

Project Overview
The goal was to replace an outdated system with a modern, secure, and maintainable WordPress site. Working independently, I took the lead in technical execution, from server procurement to final content migration.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure: Evaluated and configured the web hosting environment, domain management, and SSL certifications.
- System Administration: Handled the full WordPress installation, database initialization, and plugin ecosystem.
- Security: Implemented automated backup solutions and security hardening to ensure long-term stability.
- Documentation: Managed the project roadmap and technical documentation using Notion.
Tech Stack & Tools
- Platform: WordPress
- Infrastructure: Webhosting & DNS Management(cPanel), SSL/TLS
- Database: MySQL
- Management: Notion for project tracking
- Design: Visual layout and content strategy
Self-Evaluation
This was a highly independent “learn-by-doing” project. With no internal technical mentor available, I was responsible for researching and implementing hosting configurations and best practices.
The project strengthened my confidence in managing end-to-end technical projects and proved my ability to handle complex, independent work under pressure. It confirmed my interest in systems and infrastructure rather than just pure code.
